This type of emotional support can be invaluable for individuals who are struggling with mental health issues and can help them to feel understood and validated.

C in Coaching Mental Health support workers have the minimum qualification of Certificate IV in Mental Health and often have invaluable lived experience in the sector.

What is a recovery coach?
A recovery coach is an NDIS funded worker that has mental health knowledge. A recovery coach will:
- Spend time with you, and people important to you, to get to know you and understand your needs
- Help you to find out about different services and supports, and how these can help you
- Help you get support from mental health services
- Help you better understand the NDIS and support you with the NDIS

Frequently Asked Questions
Generally recovery coach will be funded in plans for people with psychosocial support needs.
The hours are based on your needs. Cristina will work with you to decide on the number of hours you would need.
For most people we recommend that you only have a recovery coach because it is a better use of your NDIS plan. Depending on your plan or situation you may choose to have both.
Cristina has a Certificate IV in Mental Health and a Graduate certificate in Coaching. Her own lived experience in the mental health sector ensures she is best positioned to guide your journey of recovery. Cristina is also currently completing her Honors degree in Social Work so that she can continue to advocate for the rights of all individuals.
