The program

Most training teaches you what to deliver. This teaches you how to hold the room.

Holistic Educator is a non-accredited, eight-module program built around the craft of teaching — presence, safety, questioning, reflection and identity. You finish with practical skill you can use in your next session, and a clear sense of the educator you want to be.

Sustainable practice isn't an add-on. You'll work on your why, your boundaries and your capacity — the things that keep good educators in the profession.

Use the Golden Circle to find the purpose driving your teaching, and put it into words you can actually stand behind.

Your why is the anchor when teaching gets hard.

Module 03

Curiosity in action

The lead-learner mindset and the art of a good question — how to open thinking rather than close it down.

Be the guide who activates discovery, not the expert with every answer.

Module 04

Psychological safety & the learning brain

Neuroscience basics, the Window of Tolerance, and what adult learners actually need before they can take anything in.

You can't teach over a nervous system that doesn't feel safe.

Module 05

Authentic voice & connection

Presence, tone, pacing and the right kind of vulnerability — building the way you show up in front of a group.

Learners read your energy long before they absorb your content.

Module 06

Reflective practice & resilience

Schön's reflective model, early signs of burnout, and the self-care habits that make this work sustainable.

Resilience isn't toughness. It's staying connected to yourself.

Module 07

Ethics, boundaries & self-awareness

The power you hold in a learning space, the dilemmas that come with it, and how to support people without rescuing them.

Boundaries don't push people away — they create safety.

Module 08

Consolidation & legacy

Write your teaching philosophy, name your professional identity, and close the program with your cohort.

Holistic Educator aligns with four of the seven APST, so it's straightforward to log as evidence toward maintaining Proficient accreditation.

Standard 1

Know students and how they learn. Module 4 builds trauma-informed and neuroinclusive understanding of how students actually take information in.

Standard 4

Create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments. Psychological safety, authentic connection, and ethics and boundaries — Modules 4, 5 and 7.

Standard 6

Engage in professional learning. Reflective practice in Module 6, plus three one-to-one coaching sessions with me.

Standard 7

Engage professionally with colleagues, parents and the community. Module 7 on ethics, boundaries and self-awareness.

Before you enrol

The questions people ask me most.

What does it cost, and can I pay in instalments?

$990 inc. GST in total — a $825 course fee plus a $165 enrolment fee. You can pay in four instalments via PayPal Pay in 4, and employers can be invoiced for the full amount in one go. Fees cover the online learning platform, resources, workshop materials and templates.

Is this a microcredential?

Yes. Holistic Educator is a non-accredited microcredential with defined learning outcomes, facilitated by SportsReady Education (RTO 22394). You receive the Holistic Educator microcredential on completion. It sits below an AQF qualification, and credits toward the TAE40122 Certificate IV if you continue.

How does enrolling actually work?

The process is deliberately light — no LLN testing, no digital skills assessment, no USI required. Complete the TAE Plus enrolment form and nominate Holistic Educator, the team will book a short one-to-one enrolment chat, then you pay and begin. No waiting for an intake.

When are the intakes?

There aren't any. The program runs on demand through the pay-per-module pathway, so you can start whenever you're ready. Register your interest here and the team will walk you through enrolment.

How is it delivered?

Structured, self-paced online learning with pre-recorded content in the learner portal, plus three one-to-one coaching sessions with me. You'll need a computer and an internet connection.

Who is it for?

People new to teaching, people exploring a career change, and people already training, leading or coaching who want to strengthen how they do it. No prior qualification is required.

Who delivers the program?

SportsReady Education (RTO 22394) is the Registered Training Organisation behind TAE Plus. I lead the Holistic Educator program, focusing on educator identity, wellbeing and sustainable practice. Chris Blanch delivers the accredited TAE units, with over 22 years in the VET sector.

What if I change my mind?

The $165 enrolment payment is non-refundable — it secures your place. If you withdraw after enrolling, give at least 7 days' written notice to cancel upcoming fortnightly payments. Payments already processed aren't refundable.
